TOTALLY DEFEND PEN-X

Totally Defend PEN-X is the penetrating sealer made for the elements. It provides ultimate protection for concrete, masonry and blockwork. PEN-X has been specifically designed to deliver great results in all the essential areas and more:

APPLICATION

We advise that prior to use on any surface, a small test area should be prepared to observe drying time, the coverage rate and the finished colour.

Things to note:

• The temperature range for optimal application of PEN-X is 10°C to 35°C and surfaces should not be hot from floor heating or direct sunlight before application.
• Avoid applying during windy conditions.
• Do not apply if rain or dew is expected within three hours of application.
• At temperatures below 25°C and over 50% humidity, drying times will be longer.
• If you’re sealing exposed aggregate/pavilion finish concrete surfaces, thinning is not normally required due to the porosity of the concrete.

Application Using a Sprayer

• PEN-X can be sprayed using a solvent-resistant sprayer.
• If spraying, the first coat must be thinned by 30% with xylene. We recommend that if you’re spraying, a second and third coat of undiluted product be applied.

Some Tips!

• The best floor results are achieved using at least a 10mm to 15mm nap microfiber roller.
• Roll over the concrete in even lines. Ensure you’re keeping a “wet edge” when rolling over an already sealed area to avoid overlap marks.
• Recoating can normally be performed following a 1-hour drying time. However, 3 to 4 hours is preferable.

When applied properly, PEN-X will provide your concrete with ultimate protection for years to come. Just take look at the difference between concrete sealed with PEN-X and unsealed concrete. They say a picture says a thousand words, but this picture doesn’t need to say much more than get me some of that PEN-X! GET ME SOME PEN-X
